Modern Foreign Language - French

At Alston Primary School we teach French as a modern foreign language. It is the most common foreign language taught at our local secondary schools. We aim to provide the children of Alston Primary School with a solid foundation in this subject and prepare them for their next stage of learning. We are currently using the ‘Language Angels’ scheme to deliver French. This scheme enables the children to develop and demonstrate progress in the five key language skills necessary for learning French which are speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar.
